The "turkey tray" just lays in place and is located on two bosses in the castings. For sure coat both sides of the water ports at the corners. Probably good idea to coat the exhaust ports as well.

Use "the Right Stuff" to seal the end rails. Make sure you use enough, or you'll have the same leaks you started with. Check the end gap before you install to gage the thickness needed.

I prefer the Felpro 2 piece composite gaskets with the Right Stuff on the front and rear. Mondello sells a "tray" that bolts into the valley to shield the hot oil from the intake.

The metal one piece gaskets work, but can be a real pain to install. For sure have a helper.
