He used the wrong rims!! They take a 14x6. I liked it better with the slots! Also It dosnt make sense to me why he put whitewalls on it when he left all the other day 2 stuff on the car. Should have went with small lettered polys!! JMO

Can someone explain to me why a '70 GTO came standard with manual drum brakes and 6" wheels in 1970 when every Chevrolet performance model (SS, Z28 etc.) 1969 and after included power disc brakes as a mandatory option, as well as typically included a 7" wide wheel as part of the package?
Even if you ordered the optional Ralley II wheels on a '70 GTO they were still only 6" wide...and the GTO option didn't get you any additional braking upgrades whatsoever? ![]() Why were power front discs so important to the Chevrolet division's engineers but not Pontiac's? ![]() |

Do you think it has something to do with the 10 bolt rear in Pontiacs and 12 bolts in Chevrolets?
