I've also posted this on the
Team Chevelles message board, and one of the members suggested I do it here, as well. I'm trying to track down a '70 Chevelle SS-396 that my parents purchased new in 1970 (and sold in 1972). The only records I have is a dealer price quote and a service receipt, which fortunately shows the VIN number. It's either 136370B165352 or 136370B105352. I can't be certain because one of the sixes looks like a zero.
The car was ordered with Hugger Orange paint and white racing stripes, 396 engine (not such which one), Super Sport package, cowl induction, Posi, power steering, and air conditioning.
My mom's been talking about this car for a long time now and trying to find it has really piqued my interest. We're in the Pittsburgh, PA area so it might still be nearby. Has anyone seen a car like this?
(The Camaro on the trailer was drag raced by my dad in the early '70s. We still have that one!)
