On the convertible it has fresh inspection and new raised white letter tires. The second car has no debris underneath of it, the paint is nice and clean, no streaks running down the side. In our neighborhood all cars parked on the street must be tagged, inspected and insured. I think your pictures do not depict rotting muscle cars. If you would like to come to our local neighborhood car show, it is 9/27/08 on Easton Road in Roslyn. You are in my neighborhood.

I post cars here because I, and I believe others enjoy the sight of something that would be a thrill to take home
and try to save or in the case of some really far gone vehicles to lament the passing of the same. Some of
the cars I have posted are not that far gone or rotted, but posted for the enjoyment of seeing old muscle
that has not been restored and is still hanging around. I don't feel because the thread is titled
"Rotting Muscle Cars" I need to be pigeon holed into only cars that are falling apart and ruined.
I posted the shot of the '55 Packard because it's an unusual car that I thought was pretty cool to see sitting
on the street, and where else would I put it.
If I offended the cars in your neighborhood that was not my intent - but lighten up it's all in fun!
I've posted pictures of several of my own cars on this thread.
If I can I will definitely stop by to see the cars of your area on the 27th - thanks for the invite.

Here's one of mine - it hasn't moved in 3 years and has the dirt and dust on it to prove it!

Yeah, I guess the thread has become a catch-all for picture posting. Just doesn't feel right to be seen on a thread titled Rotting Muscle Cars.

Here's another great link to a variety of "cool cars". Don't try and look at them all in one night.

This and the street scenes thread are my 2 favorites. The 66 Biscayne is finished, and that was another favorite.
Don't stop, and I'll add to it from time to time.

I have always wanted to post in here. I love it!
The wife, when I can get her to do it, and my little guy and I like to cruise small lakes in WI.
Here are a couple of shots.
