I'm envious Bruce! I know you are gonna have fun.
If any of you guys are in AZ for the auctions and have nothing to do, GO TO THE SUPERCROSS RACE. It is an amazing motor sport. Imagine speed bumps in a parking lot, put about 20 of them one after the other, make them three feet tall, put them right after a 180 degree corner and the goal is to float across the top of them. You need to go about thirty miles an hour and if you screw up, they swallow you whole. The next trick is right after another 180 degree corner you have about 40 feet of run up and then a 90 foot jump, you've only got 40 feet to gain enough speed to clear a 90 foot jump. These athletes do it. Now envision over twenty of these guys on a 20 foot wide track and you get to order a ![]() The bikes are about 200 pounds and have over 60 horsepower, try that one on Supercar guys. That equates to a 1000 horsepower Camaro. Great fun. |

Looks like a ton of fun Bruce...but where's all the Team Yamaha SnoPro snowmobiles! .
Part of Yamaha's Factory 'Boss Team' should show up here in Peterboro for the Kawartha Cup SnoCross races in a few weeks...and with the experienced team members they have now, I expect their new SnoPro 4-Stroke sleds are gonna' have more than a few surprises for all the 'old' 2-Strokers! . ~ Pete ![]()

There is a pile of mountain sledding done around here and the four stroke sleds simply suck in stock form. Most guys turbocharge them and now you have a whole new animal, pick your nearest mile long 80 degree hill and go for it. They almost climb vertical walls. The only thing stopping you from getting to the top is your size of your you know whats.
![]() Then all of the fun begins, what goes up must come down. Once you finish your climb you need to turn around on a very steep slope....on a ten foot long sled....a precarious pirouette to say the least. If that doesn't get you the speed can. Sleds virtually have no brakes, especially on really steep powdered snow hills. Once they go sideways....lookout. Billy Bob and his buds will usually auger in a couple while we eat our lunch and get entertained. You see everything from just a busted windshield to sleds going end over end ten or twenty times, they fly apart pretty good. |

Somehow I knew that you'd post up Fred! This is one of the benefits of what I do for a living...Long hours sometimes...but you get to meet quite a few cool people!
All of Team Yamaha were really pleasant. We had over 800 people go through the line in less than 1 hour and 15 minutes! Here is a lucky winner of an autographed Fox helmet ( I should have kept it...LOL ![]() ![]() ![]() Hal Sanguinetti doing the announcing duties...with the lucky winner! ![]()

Next up is the end of the year race in LV...where we have Team Yamaha, Team Honda, Team Kawasaki and Team Suzuki!
I don't think that I'll have to fly to our Florida locations...they have a good handle on doing it up right! ![]() Fred is right though...It's really amazing to watch these guys in person. They have some mighty big cajones... ![]() ![]() Pete...since we're in Phoenix...there's not a big market for snowmobiles...LOL ![]()
