Default Got a new musclecar

It's either a musclecar or a sportscar depending on your perspective. I just picked up a '72 Corvette "survivor" coupe. It's in great original shape with the following options:

LS5 454 Born with engine
4 speed transmission (M20 I think)
Power Steering
Power Brakes
Am/Fm Radio
Tilt/Telescope steering wheel
Custom Leather Interior
Factory Air
Custom Wheel Covers
Power Windows
Rear Defroster

I just drove it home in 18 degree weather this morning. I had the car up to 90 MPH at one point. It has 56K miles and runs, drives and looks great. I have the original invoice, registrations, etc. It's black on black. For you 'Vette experts, although black wasn't offered in '72 as a factory hue, this car was painted in black on delivery in 1972. I am psyched to be owning my first 'Vette. Here are some pics taken in the seller's garage--sorry for the poor quality--I'll post more when the weather improves and I get the car outside.

I love those Vettes. I was the first person to ride in my uncles 74 on the way home from the dealer. I still remember it like it was yesterday. I was 5 years old.

The car actually goes pretty good. I don't know 1/4 mile times, and the horsepower rating is 270 NET (as opposed to gross). However, the torque on the car is 455 FT/LBS, which is good stuff. No substitute for cubic inches! Handling on the car is quite good for a 35 year old piece.

Thanks for your compliments. As soon as I find a picture reducing software I'll post more pics.

Thanks,

Morris

The "New" photobucket automatically reduces the picture sizes for you (That reminds me...I'm going to have to update my tutorial). You can choose from a number of sizes for display now.

Just get a free photobucket account and load up your pics....PM me if you have any problems!
