Default Baldwin motion corvette

Does anyone remember this car it was cortez silver to start it's life then made it to marina blue, then a burnt maroon with gold and a pic. of a man and women on the hood. the car was painted purple back in 1990. It first came to Wisconsin in 1988-89. It was in Indiana before that. Pics of the car can be found in my profile. Thanks.

Hello,The Car is a 1969 corvette it has the gt window, revervsed gills,a single tracion bar, a hurst 4sd.,mallory distibutor and ign.,motion wing nuts on alum. finned valve coves. Not sure if its a m20 -m22 trans. but is one of them.It has the pulled diamond tuffed interior. It has the ansen front wheels not on car, and I also have the chrome side pipe covers. It has a 350/350 hp. That is pushin 425hp. with a edelbrock C3BX intake, a holley 3310-2 4brl. I sent the money in to have it documented along with my original tank sticker to Joel R.,He told me it looks that his type of work but without more of a paper trail or a NICB that he couldn't doc. as a real motion car. So that where I need the help is trying to find someone that might remember a past owner. The car was in INDIANA prior to 1988 and has stayed in Wis. since. Thanks.

I did not know any better and sent what I had left of my tank sticker to Joel R. The original of course before I know about the dealer zone number. Well to make a long story short Joel said he sent me back my tank sticker and that's been over 3 months ago, and still no tank sticker. LOST IN THE MAIL

Just want to add, Bills story is true, Docs are lost in the mail. I Flew out to See Bill and the car. Having some dealings with Joel in the past, I called Joel as Bill said he hadn't gotten his things back. Joel said that he had sent stuff back, so what was left of tank sticker is history.

My two cents worth, this is a neat car that needs, would make a real nice car. Interior is not a motion interior (I was previous owner of the Moray GT, I'm no expert, but I'm also not an idiot), appears to be Motion or eckler body kit, long l-88 hood. Frame appeared to be good on the car, "traction bar" on the car is a lakewood bar that somebody u-bolted to the bottom spring plate, not at all like something from motion. The right nose is on the car for a 1969, that 80 front cover is glassed over the original nose, you can look in there and see the 69 openning, never seen that before. The car did have ansen sprints at one point as shown in the photos, and those pictures show the car not to be a glued up mess, appears this work was well done and done early in the cars life. Car has 350/350 center console. No rear sway bar. Car looks killer with the torque thrust d's on it. Roll up windows, no a/c, I think power brakes but no power steering.

Per my conversation with Joel, he did the "inconclusive thing" ("can't tell at this time if this is one of mine").
He also mentioned one of his cars was just found in Sussatuwan, Canada.

It would be great if somebody here knew anything about this car. It is an original Sebring (cortez?)Silver car with standard black interior. In my less than expert opinion, I have no idea if this car is a Baldwin car, a customer car or a catalog car done outside of Motion. It has the start of a really neat car and it appears to be a solid starting point.

I know Bill is really trying to trace history on this car. I'm sure any leads would be of great help.

Has he tried doing a title search in an attempt to locate previous owners who may be able to shed some light on the history of the car? I was able to do that successfully with a 1968 SS/RS 396 I used to own and was lucky enough to get in touch with the second owner. He was nice enough to share some stories and sent a picture of the car from back when he owned it.

Good luck with your search.
