Since its darn cold here in Nebraska and cant do much racing, thought some of you mite enjoy pics of this original butternut yellow 4N '67 camaro. Nebraska and then Kansas Race car since 1974. Painted in Omaha by Jack Edwards in 1979. Jack of diamonds on the quarter panel with "The Gambler" airbrushed on the doors.
Raced with a Doug Nash 5 speed by a guy from Omaha who originally built the car with the help of many friends in the area. Raced at many tracks with five different owners around the midwest. I purchased the car last summer from a nice couple in Great Bend KS who preserved it's original race graphics and were currently racing it in Super Street. Hard to believe that someone along the way didnt repaint it. The scoop was replaced, otherwise the exterior paint is the same since '79. Presently installing a L88 427 engine that I had along with a Doug Nash. Thanks SCR for this site, a great source of good information along with the forum topics. ![]() [IMG] ![]() |
