Tough on a heavy hit like Buizalla's truck and a totally different situation...but w/ the minimal amount eBay deals, it's often best to keep the 'don't sweat the small stuff' and 'life's too short' things in mind.. I've been boned quite a few times over the years but w/ all the good deals factored in still consider the total eBay experience as a positive!. And although outright ripped off a few times I've still never left a negative feedback so as a result have never recv'd one either...seems no matter who's at fault, if you lay a bad stroke on someone else it may feel good for the moment but they're most likely to lay one back on you too and living w/ that forever may be harder than the loss of the dollar amount?. The best thing may be to try and access their personal info and hope their current phone number is there and give them a call...if nothing seems to work out, move on and forget it along w/ the continuing bs and resulting stress?.

Allen, unfortunately there are idiots out there that act like this. Lesson 1 is NEVER TRUST ANYONE AND WAIT TO GET YOUR PART BACK BEFORE THE REFUND. A friend of mine sells pocket knives on ebay. He stated a couple years ago some Moron bought a knife and upon receiving it claimed it was damaged, which it never was. This Moron tried the same thing "give me my money back asap" My friend advised to send the knife back and he would then send the refund. Of course he never heard back or received the knife from this dope..

I always leave feedback upon payment because this is ebay protocol. Unfortunately there are dishonest, scammers out there that make it difficult to trust anyone and who ruin the system!!

I would say "eat the loss and chalk it up as a learning experience". The authorites probably will not do anything over a 50 dollar part. In the grand scheme of things this is peanuts to them and ebay but to us it is a lot of $ and pisses us off probably more!! I know I have been there..

To avoid problems from a buyer claiming he never received something, I always get a Delivery Confirmation on anything I ship. It costs just $.60 and eliminates a lot of problems.
I had one guy claim an intake manifold was never received, so I got on the USPS web site, entered the tracking number and got a display showing the address and exactly when it was delivered. I copied that info right off the screen and emailed it to him. Never heard from him again.

Verne, I always do the same thing.. It's cheap insurance for .60 cents!! What an idiot to even try this scam.. On the package is the green delivery cofirmation tag which obviously shows it was sent with it...

I will also just automatically add insurance on anything that is over 100-200 bucks just in case...

I'm still waiting for a set of Nova moldings that I won back in April from someone in CA - what's with those CA people anyway?

Rich,
You're right about noticing the tag, but in the case I had, the buyer was in Canada, but he had me ship to a restoration shop in MI. I think the shop may have been playing games or they just misplaced it. Either way, proof is proof, and I wasn't bothered again.

The PO sometimes does make mistakes too. One day, a neighbor gave me a package addressed to me. It had a Delivery Confirmation tag on it but was delivered to him!

if youre not sure the part fits a certain car, dont put it in the listing.
some people just look at a part for a certain car,and think you as the seller did the research for them.

I made a deal a couple years back to sell one of my vintage racing snowmobiles to a known reputable buyer and he sent a Money Order to me w/ 'Delivery Confirmation' that didn't arrive?. All was filled out properly and even noted as delivered but following up w/ the Post Office revealed the Postal guys fill it out as delivered while at the depot when the distribution guy passes it to the letter carrier...not when delivered to the address!. It never did show up and the Postal people were no help and admitted to me that 'Delivery Confirmation' is just a he says-she says thing and you really need to pay the additional buck or whatever and go for the 'signed for when delivered' option to have any real bite!.

I have had many packages left on my back porch by the Postman with the Delivery Confirmation tag still attached.
It's no different with UPS or FedEx, they just leave the deliveries on the front porch, tap on the door and are gone.
