Default 1970 Chevelle radio delete plate

I have been looking at the buildsheet to my 1970 chevelle L78 convertible off and on for 15 years. About 6 months ago after looking over it I noticed no radio and box 94 is deleted. Does anyone have a pic or has seen one before.

Welcome..
Does box #94 show GEO/DO?
Was your Chevelle ordered new with a tinted windshield?..See if Box #107 shows RPO AO-1 or AO-2.
If not,and it was also ordered with a radio delete,it will NOT have an antenna lead at the base of the windshield.
I'd would very much like to hear/see more about your chevelle.
Color,options,palnt assembled,build date etc.

Would the delete plate be metal for a 70 SS? I've never actually seen one before...I have found one for 72 Malibu...It was metal.

One of the LS6 Converts I have here is a real radio delete car and yes the plate is metal with the grain pattern to match the dash. Totally different than the standard sweep dash plate for non SS cars.

Howard,
Ordered with the specific purpose to go drag racing. Never registered by original owner, options are few, but purposeful. TH400 , 4.10 axle , cowl induction and power top. Pretty much anything that wouldn't make it go any faster wasn't needed or ordered.

My Black 70 SS convert has the original delete plate still in place. Chuck Hanson took picts to put in the Chevelle mag some time back. Yes the speakers show just a - - and there is no radio option on the options area. Jim
