Default Re: 1971 Plymouth Cuda' 340 Convertible

71's have a different grill than 70. They were the only year cuda to have the four headlight grill. 71's were the only year to have the gilled fenders. This is why most people like the 71s over the 70s. They just look more indimidating, especially in all black. Production for 71 was less than 70. 71 total production, 16,492, and 70 total production was 48,867. 292 'Cuda convertibles were made in 71 compared to the 548 made in 70. Original parts for the cars are hard to find and when you do get them they are rediculously expensive. Its a good price for the car. I see the less desirable 71 318 Barracuda Convertibles going for 110-120K on ebay. However, I didn't think that the small blocks were painted chrysler blue until the 72 model year.
