the manifolds are on the car with plugs,and the smog pump and brackets are in a box put away

Look to see if it came with an F40 or F41 suspension.
Also if equipped w/M-22 Muncie.

i know its not m 22,its m 21,were am i looking for f40 or 41 suspension?

If there's a window sticker,buildsheet or dealer invoice it will show the RPO of F40 or F41,or M-20,M-21,M-22.
Or look for a rear sway bar & even boxed lower rear control arms too possibly denote F41 suspension.
If you notice any stickers still applied to the front/rear swaybar or either of the 4 shocks/springs,see if you can make them out too.
Can you tell us what month/year this chevelle was built as well as the assembly plant,(7th character in VIN),when you get time?
Do you remember what brand of tires it came with,Goodyear,Firestone and are they & the spare still around too?
That's pretty cool that you have the chance to get it back.

don't know the month/year or plant after the divorce the docs got lost or missing by my ex,that was 39 years ago,we didn't save all the docs,young and dumb,will call my buddy and see what he can come up with,i just want it back because it was mine new... thanks richie.......
