Gene and Judes underwater
This recent pic looks just like it did back during another flood in 1987. I lived 4 houses south of Grand Ave and River Road back then. You can see the roof, it's brown with the beige siding. Would party at the Thirsty Whale, grab some grub at Gene and Judes and then stagger home.

Wow!!!.........Haven't watched the Chicago news lately and didn't realize there was still an issue with the water.......
For those of you that are not familiar with Gene and Judes........It's a Hot Dog place that sells "Only" Hot Dogs, Fries, and Tamales......The Fries are put right on top of the Hot Dog and you eat it that way......The line is usually almost out the Door at any hour of the day......Pretty Cool........ Ken  ("And"...If you try and Order "Ketchup" on a Hot Dog.....they Shoot you right on the Spot......LOL )

Hot Dogs need Mustard. But pretzels,.............. that may be an acquired taste!
   River Road? So how far is this from the Stephens Center? Might check it out in November.
