They are using stolen sellers names and passwords and using a picture on the net. Then when its sold they send you a notice that you are protected against fraud by a so called "e-bay Saftey Board Company". Then they want you to send a "Western Union only" to them and save you some money?? SCAM SCAM SCAM. We caught one last week when winning wheels and tires. They seem to like selling goods in the 400.00 to 500.00 dollar range so you only get burned for 2 to 3 hundred and you learned a lesson. If you spot some item that seems to good to be true, send it to they will let you know if its fraud, they did for me.

The response came within minutes and when we checked his other sale items that had many bidders, they were all pulled by e-bay. We also got response from e-bay after their full investigation.

[ QUOTE ]
If you spot some item that seems to good to be true, send it to they will let you know if its fraud, they did for me. [/ QUOTE ] Another recent eBay problem (and Pay Pal, which is owned by eBay) is an e-mail the scammers send asking you to update your eBay or Pay Pal account. The e-mails look exactly like something you might get from eBay or Pay Pal but ask for sensitive account information. I've forwarded at least a dozen of the eBay ones to the eBay "spoof" address and they all were identified by eBay as scam e-mails. If you have any doubts, forward it to eBay "spoof" for confirmation. If you have 100% Positive eBay feedback, especially on several hundred transactions, the crooks are out to steal your eBay identity via the scam e-mails. BEWARE. |

Also the spoof on PayPal is they say they made a mistake and owe you some money from past transactions and need you to fill out some info so they can credit your account, looks very real, I sent it over to PayPal and they said it was bogus.
