Eventhough it is black right now the original color is the rare 25 code Astro Blue.

Very nice car and at a fair price. Sounds like you will restore it back to its original glory. I have lots of information and documention on many of the Leeds LS-6 cars if you need any help or have any questions.

Very nice find! Lucky the mice that were in the back seat did not make a nest out of those buildsheets!

[ QUOTE ]
Many of you recently saw the LS6 on ebay with no docs but an untouched original car. For those of you that did not see it:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayIS...865337&rd=1,1

I received the car late last night and I started searching for a buildsheet this afternoon. I now have not one, but two buildsheets for my original sheet metal, 3 owner, 19xxx original miles LS6.
Sometimes you win!

Not trying to stir anything up, but can this really be considered an "untouched original car" if the motor and tranny are out, and its had a repaint?

"Not trying to stir anything up"
Sure you are!
I don't like when threads get reduced to semantics, but to me I am thrilled when I see a car that has not been cut up. "Untouched" to me means the body has not been worked, the drivetrain and acessories are all there. Sorry for the confusion.

Great find there.... Have you checked the front door panels yet for more sheets??? I know of two in the area that had them glued to the drivers door panel and we cut the panel and laminted it still attached to the backing board... Ted

Great story, I posted in Members Rides how Chris P. found the build sheet in the low mile '66 L78 Chevelle that he bought. The original paperwork was lost in a tragic house fire and only copies existed, but a build sheet was found under the carpet.

Nice find!-that had to be the only time in the history of ebay that someone claimed there might be a sheet "but haven't looked yet" and wasn't BSing! Good thing he had that dual snorkle-the last one I saw went for nearly 3K and it was restored not NOS..
