Steve:

David Griffiths from Legendary is the person who told me that they produce them at the same place they're making Shelby stuff. Just passin' it on.

Will there be any change with the cables etc, when i go to a top post from my current side set up?

Yes. Both cable ends are different. You will need cables for top post specific battery.

I realized how dumb my question was after i pushed enter. I am going to just go with a Delco 78 side terminal and save my repo R89 for the rare times when the car would be judged.

thanks to all

But i wish they would hurry up and make a topper for the R89

Actually, that would be a R79.
Unless something changed for 70, the normal (non-HD) batteries would have been side-post.

I am at work, but i know my set up is correct for my 70Z and without standing in front it, i think its an R89.
Anyone, know if top posts were ever put in 70z s. I have heard early production cars had top posts.

Thanks,

John
