I'm a salesman who worked his way up from baling waste paper through the production/manufacturing/machinery aspect of business... but I need my bean counters to save me from myself... I would say yea we'll try that to just about anything a customer desired. Costs be damned ,,,, lol Stubbings is a stand up guy and is a very reputable business man, no company doing unethical business grows to the size of HBC in a community as close as the Hipo Chevrolets. Complain or lament his prices if you will, however if he says he has it... he does and it is real and he will stand behind it.

That would have been a home made pillow cover. Most likely made by a French women as a gift of appreciation. I used to collect the pillow covers thst could be bought and sent home. Most all were silk screened with a saying like, mother, father, wife at the top. I have around sixty. Started when I was given ones that were my grandfathers. I thought the Flexible Gunnery School in Florida was cool. I used to display them. But they were packed up when I got married. No place to put them and too many.

I give Jim credit, over thirty years ago he went around to So Cal chevy dealers that were shuttering their windows and scoured out all the parts dept inventories, and squirreled them away for a rainy day. Great foresight on his part, turned it into a cottage industry.

Hello Rick,
All the parts came from Ricks personal collection, from Ricks First Generation. Paul |

Some of those parts Jim already had as a few of those JL-8 rears and xrams listed were mine at one point a few years ago before I sold off a lot of my collection. I did not sell directly to Jim because he really low balled me when I offered some stuff to him, but he eventually ended up getting most of my parts anyway. I wonder where the cut away car is?? Did that go to Ecklers?
I say the same about Ecklers..I used them once only after Rick sold. |
