1967 Camaro project

A buddy here in town has a '67 Camaro project he's looking to sell...I don't know anything about '67s, but after looking at the vin/tag info (I forgot it @ home today) it doesn't appear to be anything special..."M-M" royal plum in color is about all I remember...either base sbc or 6-banger car w/manual trans, manual steering w/drums...thing is rough as a cob, and they've primered the whole thing...a lot of the original parts are with the car, column/dash/pedals are still in it, but not sure how much of the chrome is there and usable...?

$4,000 is what he wants, and it is a definite project needing lots of metal work...but if for some reason you *have* to have a '67 shell for some place to start, it'd work. I could grab pictures if need be...
