A day at the Office

Usually don't have much time on the scene but today we arrived prior to firerescue so I whipped out the aircraft camera. Accident was a waverunner vs waverunner at Apache Lake,east of Phoenix. Female patient had a broken femur and possible broken hip and in a lot of pain, she wasn't enjoying any of it. My crew, Ken and PJ stablized the patient and we were gone prior to firerescue showing, Maricopa sheriff arrived after we did but was very helpful. First couple shots were right after I landed waiting to see if I should shut down or not. Ignore the date on the images, they were shot today Sept 21

Here in Maryland, we have a medivac chopper network run by the Maryland State Police, flying all patients to University of Maryland's Shock Trauma facility.

Hey Dave, You and your crew make a big difference in peoples lives, I know exactly what your patient was going thru having suffered a broken femur myself . I wish it was only a 20 minute ride to the hospital. Where were you thirty years ago? lol

Wow, I was hoping that was not a friend of mine involved in that accident. He has 2 jet skis and always talks about riding in that lake.. He was supposed to go out there sometime this past weekend....
