does anyone know how they did the original stampings on all of the glass ( front, rear, and sides ) like the lof and dates, what was the process

i believe that the mfg. facilities used two different methods to "bug" the parts...
acid etching beading of the logo or bug |

-----OEM Glass uses the beading method. Very similar to sandblasting, just done way more carefully with different bead, etc...........Bill S

anyone else know what they may be made of or how the cut them out. i know they chsnged the dates on them, i am tring to learn the process

most of the re-pop glass suppliers are using an acid touch system... the stamps they use can be made pretty inexpensively with the different dates that are required for their use.
the real question is, are they licensed to use the logo, especially on glass that is not OE ![]() |
