Default 70 chevelle smog question??

did the 70 chevelle 396/350 hp cars with a 4 spd have smog???seems i never see anything but ls6 cars with it???thanks

If by Smog you mean the A.I.R. pump,and not RPO NA-9 (i.e. E.E.C.-Calif. Emissions-Charcoal Cannister)..then you're correct,they did not
For 1970,if they car was optioned with a solid lifter engine like the LS-6 or L-78,then they were outfitted with the A.I.R.smog pump system only.
The Hydra lifter L-34 402/350HP would not have gotten it,regardless of trans. type or where assembled/sold.
