I have a friend that is looking at a 68 Camaro. It is a small block car with Z-28 badges. The guy says it is not a real Z-28 but that it is a RS. The car does not have the RS front clip. What info will the VIN and trim tags tell about the car?
Thank you, James |

Nothing that will verify a Z/28 or a Rally Sport. The 68's had the least amount of information on the trim tag of any first gen Camaro. The VIN will tell you if it's a V8 car (12437----)and where it was built (N for Norwood, Ohio and L for Van Nuys, Calif.) The trim tag will tell you what color it was, what interior it had, what week it was built. Not much else.
