Default Dip Stick Question

Continuing to clean out storage and came across one of the old dipsticks and tubes I had lying around and would like to ask the experts what the correct applications for it are. It is part number 3860316 with an M above the part number. I have been told it is correct for 65-early 67 (March) Corvette 396 and 427's including the 435hp 427 but figure it was used for more than that. Also what would a reasonable price for it be?

Thanks in advance.

Default Re: Dip Stick Question

Here are a few pics , there is some light surface rust spotting on it which I did not clean, do not have any of the correct cleaners handy for removing it without using abrasives handy which I won't use on anything like this.

The tube is almost exactly 1.5" from the top spot weld to the end of the dipstick. Hopefully you can see the wording clearly enough in the scans otherwise I will have to wait until I can clean it properly or I can find the good camera that does macro, used a scanner for these.

Thanks again guys with the ID help.
