Nice quick diagnosis on a broken pushrod out at SCR12. It always impresses me how he zero's in on this stuff and figures out the offending problem before me.
Sounds like he and another member were diagnosing a poor running motor when he sniffed out the ol' broken valve spring. Way to go! It ain't bad that these repairs end up being pretty inexpensive compared to what others sometimes speculate the problem to be either. ![]() |

Nothing like taking two father's advice on a compression test, only to find out, I had a broken valve spring in my Nova. Hey, lay off seems to be paying off! My head is clear to think! Thanks to your dad and mine. How cheap was it you ask? $2 for the spring. Weight lifted from my shoulders, priceless!
