Trying to help out my appraiser, he is involved with a 67 Camaro, Norwood built, VIN is 0001. It is a Pro Street/ bracket car now. The Camaro is/was in Kansas. The car was titled "Bushmaster", possibly run by SKF/McQuay/Norris in the early 70's. A possible tie to a George Schreiber who used the "Bushmaster" name, did not pan out but George believes the car possibly was part of the above team.
The VIN and cowl tag are supposed to code out correctly for the car. I do not have pics available but I know Bob does. If anyone can help him out his email is [email protected] . His website is www.usaautoappraisers.com |

Do you have any photos of the partial VINs stamped on the cowl and firewall? Seems very odd for the #0001 serial number to show what seems to be a too late build date of 09B on the cowl tag. Also, a relatively high body number in relation to the VIN.

I remember reading a long time ago that there actually several hundred 1966 Camaros out there. They were in such a hurry to get them out there competing with Mustang sales that they were released a few months early. They had 1966 titles, paperwork and everything. Anybody ever run across one of these?

The third to last digit on the vin tag looks a little odd? Has anyone taken the time to clean the paint off the vin plate before all the hub-ub starts?

I have a request in for clear shots of the VIN with paint removed, seam areas, certain weld areas, etc. Hopefully I will have them over the weekend.
