Default Chambered Exhaust Opinion's

What is the best chambered exhaust system on the market. It seems most people complain that the Gardner's system is too loud and also too expensive at over $1700. I was told that Jim at Heartbeat is now selling a system using the tooling from and original system. Money is not the issue here, I just want to use the most correct system.

Im interested in the opinions as well. We are getting close to installing the subframe to the body and purchase an exhaust system for the 69 yenko camaro.

Also - can you get the chambered systems with the chrome tail pipe tips?

-----Bought one of Jims systems two years ago and wasnt happy as we really had to juggle things around. There could easily have been changes in his system by now, however. I have also installed an Allens muffler set-up and it fit perfectly out of the box. I dont like their prices either, but the alternative sometimes isnt pretty......Bill S

No Yenko came from the factory with chambered. Chrome tip are incorrect for a chambered system.

I just put a Gardner non chambered system on my L78 Pace Car and it not only fit perfect but looked just like the factory setup. I would suspect their chambered system is just as nice. They have all the correct hangers and clamps available. not cheep but worth every dime.

I put a Gardner chambered system on my BB Pace Car. It is a Canadian car that originally came with chambered. System fit like a glove and sounds great. I have wrestled with a lot of exhaust systems over the years - Gardner just fits with no issues! I believe that chrome tips are incorrect for any '69 system before late June build.

all the Z11 Camaro Pace cars were built before June and all of them came with chrome tipped exhaust pipes (possible exception being the chambered system, I have not seen one with original chambered exhaust, but that is not to say there weren't any out of the 3,675 they made) ...

Yep - I have the GM Canada docs showing chambered on my BB Pace Car. I've never seen another Pace Car with factory chambered either. Sorry if I'm incorrect on the chrome tip issue, I may have chrome tips confused with resonator introduction.
