Dave,

I am not sure what an 8204 would be but the 69Z boosters have been documented with two different size fonts for the 9204 booster. You might want to double check and make sure it doesn't say 9204.

It's a power booster off a Chevelle, definitely not a 9204. The font size is about 2/3rds the size of the font on my 69z and four other 9204 power boosters in the shop. Just trying to figure out if this power booster is original to the Chevelle or a replacement.

Dave
That's the assembly date of the booster itself.
<span style="font-weight: bold">8</span>=1968
<span style="font-weight: bold">204</span>=204th day of the year..Monday July 22nd.

From what I've been told, small font is 69 prior, large font 70 and later.

5 digits? I've never seen a 60's booster stamped with 5 digits.
The other side of the tab normally has the date, Julian day (no year). Maybe this is a 71+ item???

My 69 Z28 has it's original booster. 9204 on the top tab on one side and the julian 3 digit date on the other. This booster has a five digit number on one side and a 3 digit julian date on the other, the font of the 5 digit number is much smaller, 2/3rds the size of my 9204 booster. When I get home I can send some pictures for comparison purposes.

Does anyone have all the booster codes they would care to share?

Thanks,
