Default Reverse lock out on a Cammro/Nova w/ Headers

Has anybody been able to run the factory reverse lockout linkage on a 69/70 BB Camaro/Nova with Headers.? Maybe with a modified shifter linkage rod from the frame linkage transfer to the shifter.? Sure would like to have my reverse lights back the way nature intended. Any help appreciated

Cant even do it with a SB. Only way to get your reverse lights back is to install the bracket under the shifter stop bolt and use a plunger switch that will contact the shifter reverse lever.
This is a Hurst accessory part.

We were able to do it with the SS 350 69 Camaro I did up about 13 years ago. Needed to do some fabrication with the lever unit attached to the subframe. Don't recall exactly, but I think we cut down a part of it. Wish I could be more specific, sorry. Don't know if such a change would work with a BB.

I made my 69 z28 with hooker headers work. I took off my orig bell crank and bought an repop one. I turned it around and cut one of the ears off and welded it on the other side. That got the bell crank away from the headers. Then I cut the rod that runs back to the reverse linkage and extended it. When you turn the bell crank around that rod needs to be longer. Its been on there for over ten years now.
