I have this 4 bolt block
Casting 3969854 K4 9 TI 106 CKO 10K128987 It is a 4.250 bore. I have found lots of info saying its a 70 camaro L78 man block. Not with that bore... any ideas? Chevelle? |

Looks like a Chevelle block...cast Nov. 4/69 and assembled on 11/6/69...pretty close dates??
CKO is an L78 4spd...same code for Nova, Chevelle and Camaro VIN tells the story..K is for Kansas City...that means Chevelle as for the 4.25 bore...that would be the bore for a 427 or 454...some of the 854 blocks can be punched out that big...all depends upon core thickness/cylinder walls...someone has obviously worked on it before. wilma
