Default 1970 Chevelle Vinyl Tops

Who makes the most correct vinyl top material for a 1970 Chevelle?
Most vinyl tops made today have the white fuzzy stuff on the back side. The originals didn't have it.
Thanks! John

I'd think that SMS Autofabrics, who have quite a bit of NOS material, would be able to make up a new vinyl top for you.
I'm having them make my headliner right now with NOS material for a `70 Chevelle.

I picked up a top from SMS. Note, if they do not have NOS, some of their reproduction grain is a bit deeper than NOS. At least for 1970 Dark gold. Other than that, the new stuff looks fine.

There was and outfit in Texas that had a large stock of NOS material, however they shut down and I do not know who picked up his stock. There was an estate sale. I do not know if the business stock was part of it. He still had some left over from the last order, but was closed by the time I needed it.

It would be nice to know who has it.
