HELP WITH CAR BRAKE DOWN

My son is part of CRUSADES FOR CHRIST and is on a mission trip to Ocean City NJ. FOR 12 WEEKS (it is his first). He loaned his car to another kid who was taking some one to the airport to return home. For what ever reason the car over heated and they drove it for a while then pulled over and let cool down and added water. They then started driving again and it over heated again, dash lights on also. and the way i get it is they drove it tell it died. it was towed to a place in Gloucester NJ. where is is now. I well know more on Monday but I'm afaid it is fried. I live in IL. so i may need help to find either someone coming this way with a trailer or a not to exsensive hauling company to bring it back to IL.
Any help would be great

Gloucester County is in southern NJ near Philadelphia. It has been unbelievably hot here the last couple of days. It was 108 in Newark yesterday. I'm up in central/northern NJ, about an hour and a half north of Gloucester.

What kind of car is it?

P.S. My niece and nephew recently went on a similar event to The Dominican Republic. I guess with the exposure that &quot;Jersey Shore&quot; and &quot;The Sopranos&quot; have brought our fair garden state, it now qualifies as a third world, missionary target zone. It is a 2002 chrysler pt cruiser that was left to him from his grandmother. it was her driver until she past away. i think it has around 80,000 miles on it.
Ocean City NJ has had mission trips for some time, I think it is like a starting spot to learn and progress to other more needy spots like those over seas.
