Default Project 'z-602' ...opinions on exhaust man. paint

My 67 Z project has taken on a name. I posted a while back but could not find the post..My car is the latest cowl-dated 67 Z known. It was made on the last day of production and only 200 or so VINs from the lsat 67 Camaro.
The car has only 17k miles when I purchased it. It has all original quarters, floors, etc. I have the body in primer and ready to do a test fit with all the metal before I paint the car.
My plans are to first restore the car to 'nearly' original condition and then start changing to an old school (maybe some new tech)..Trans Am type racer. I plan on driving the car and hopefully racing it some also...and maybe a cruise night here and there.

At this point I am debating on what color to paint the exhaust manifolds. The motor I have is a NOS 67 dated MO 302 purchased at the Smokey Yunick auction back in the early 90's. I have the motor in the subframe and ready to fire up. The motor came from Smokey with the exhaust painted orange. Did they ever come that way? I thought I saw a pic of a bunch of Chevy motors at the factory all painted orange..exhaust and all..maybe it was 409's? I left the intake bolts orange as that is how Smokey rebuilt the motor before the auction.
Eventually I will put on the original factory headers..but for now, I am going with the exhaust that came on the motor. Any opinions?? Thanks
