Default The last classic car I will own...

Been a member since 2007, just picked up probably my last car. I just about had every car I ever wanted. I bought this about a month ago. It was on the net for about a half day when I saw it. It wasn't posted on Craigslist, Classic Car Trader or anything like that, it was deep in a Google search and a small town newspaper but on the net in Scottsville KY. I sent the guy a message and he returned my e-mail with about 12 pics. It was exactly what I had been looking for. ALL original 65' SS Vert. 78,500 mile.

So I flew to KY the next day, left CA about 1:45pm and arrived in Nashville TN about 11pm. He was nice enough to pick me up which was about 1 hour from his house. Got to his house about midnight Thursday and left about 1am on Friday morning on my Journey back to Cali.

Over the next 2 days I went from KY, TN, AK, OK, TX, NM, AZ and into Cali. It was about 2000 miles and was a blast with the top down, some good music from my phone and a million stars at night.

The guy I got it from received it from his dad when he graduated from HS. His dad got t back in 1967 from the original owner. His dad was a used car salesmen. Over the next 45 years it mostly sat in there basement dry and out of the elements. The car only had one repaint (original color) back in 1998. It might had the seats redone but I found the 2nd broadcast sheet in the back seat when I put seat belts in for my kids.

It has a few paint bubbles and nicks but still looks great. All stock and Original DE 283 and PG trans,10-bolt. He said the 14" stock rims were swapped out for some 15" Rallys years ago. I was amazed how everything still works on the car except the clock in the dash. Top needs a deep cleaning but still looks ok. I also upgraded to Power Disc Brakes for the wife and kids.

The reason for the name is my 3 and 5 y/o said the car looks like "Sunshine".
