1968 Camaro RS SS 396 Project
Pics to follow soon. This is a project car which needs total restoration. However it is one on the cleanest and most solid first gens starting points that I have seen in a while. It will need minor patch work at the bottoms of the original front fenders and a patch on the wheel lip on the passengers 1/4 panel. The floors, frame, trunk, dash are in great condition. It still wears a good portion of its original paint. I was told that it was parked in the 1970s with 38,000 miles. It is a real RS SS. The engine pad and the trim tag dates don't line up? But it sure looks original to me. No factory paperwork. 325hp 396ci in Car TH 400 3.07 12 bolt Special order paint: - - (Looks to be Verdoro Green) Black Vinyl top, Black Deluxe Interior, White Bumble Bee with side stripe. Power Windows Power Disk Brakes Power Steering Was original air conditioned car but no a/c components or brackets. $15,000.00 obo ![]() ![]() |

1968 RS SS 396 Verdoro Green
I found one of the previous owners and his photo Album on the Web. The Camaro looks very much the same, pics only aprox one year old. The car was purchased out of California approx 15 years ago and had been sitting for a long time due to a carb fire. |
