Default MT valve covers M\T vs M/T...

It's been a while since I have posted but have a question about Mickey Thompson valve covers. I have an SBC pair where the slash is backwards M\T as opposed to what is more conventional M/T. I just ran across another with a pair like mine and out of 2 pages on ebay there is another set. Was this an early casting? Something they did for a short time? or some sort of a knock-off? any help is appreciated...

From what I recall of those, they seemed like there were late 1970's early 1980's vintage. Rather poor quality die cast. I would almost suspect they are knock-off but can't say for sure.

Maybe the slash guy they hired for that era was dyslexic.

This^^^^^Earlier M/T's used the Chevron/Chevrolet logo and later ones just said CHEVROLET.

I saw the set on Ebay the poster was referring to.
