Default Bullitt Mustang

What would be the best way to identify a Mustang that may have been in the movie Bullitt? The current owner has owned the car for quite sometime. He said the damage to the side of his car is identical to the damage that was on the movie car. It had right front suspension parts replaced and the right front of the Bullitt 'stang had damage there in the movie. It was the same color green. Same steering wheel. It came out of CA years ago. He is going to get me the serial number and tag info. Would a Marti report show anything?

Do a search on the net. There are many sites dedicated to the Bullitt Mustang and if I recall, there was a site last year that clearly identified the original and stunt double Mustangs. I am thinking they even gave the VINs but I could be wrong.

Supposably the original car was crushed and one of the stunt doubles was sold to an employee of Warner Bros. I believe that car has been located. In addition to Budnates webpage here is another.
