Default Hillbilly Racing

Diana, Drew and myself had a long, but fun weekend, first showing Red Alert and Drew's JR dragster at the annual White Hall (IL) Drag-O-Way Reunion on Saturday, then racing at Newport (AR) on Sunday.

Drew finishing his burnout. Drew had his personal best ET of 11.04 and had a couple fo nice lights, one a .503.

Red Alert getting a little air against a local racer's Mopar. RA ran 6.80s all day, with a best of 6.83.

Got some new "shoes" for the Deuce last week...

So, figured we'd better test 'em out, along with the new shortblock since dad destroyed the last one a couple weeks ago...

The Deuce went a 6.61 (had a 6.62 and some 6.65s), and could've dipped into the 6.5x's as dad peddled twice on a 6.65 dial and ran a 6.659...went a couple of 1.42 shorts back-to-back, with several 1.44s and 1.45s mixed in. Finished up by winning Super Pro...

Devin was bowhunting so Droopy was the only Jr. we took, and he managed to win a round-robin shootout with 2 other kids...

Tried to drop ya a PM, Cumby, but it says you're "over your limit"...[insert joke here! ]

I owe you a big THANK YOU for the prints of dad and I at Joliet...we don't get to do it often, and even though my pass left a lot to be desired, it's one of those "things to remember"...thanks again!

The pass below was one of the first out of the trailer yesterday, thus the slower et (6.75)...when we started the day the late Nova in the other lane was a tick ahead of us but as we got quicker during the day he slowed down. The splits on this pass are almost identical, which is why you could throw a blanket over both cars on this pass...dad dropped a perfect .500 light on him, but he had a .506!
