NEW MEMBER HERE, HEARD ABOUT YOUR SITE FROM FRIENDS AND THEY SAID IF ANYONE KNOWS, YOU GUYS WOULD.
I am 60 and grew up in Pittsburgh, Yenkos were everywhere with our returning Vets with money in thier pockets and the good paying Steel industry in the mid to late 60's, they were really very commonplace in my hometown. Need info about a certain 1968 Z-28 that I am high bidder on. It is listed on Ebay item# 160881668917. The current owner who is named Tom out in Cali also has it consigned to a Dealer in San Juan, Capistrano. It can be seen there by viewing: http://www.familyclassiccars.com/det...d-8867547.html Please, if any of you can shed light on this car or know it from back in the day please email me at:[email protected] and let me know. I will even pay you for your time. Send me your number and I will call you or I can be reached at 305-310-3866. My name is Dave and your help is appreciated. Davisito

Dave:
Ebay item showed up for me. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Z-28-...orcev4exp=true Very nice car. Don't know if from back in the day. You cannot make an informed buying decision on a car like that without a good inspection by someone who knows what they are looking at. I am surprised that there is no picture of the engine pad stamp or the tranny stamp on a car advertised for $65,000.

Family Classic Cars is owned by John Cappelletti who won the Heisman Trophy at Penn State in the 70s. I recently inspected a car there and he, and his staff, were very open and cordial. They will provide a lift. I also took the car out, with John, for a test drive.
I know nothing about this Z but, my experience with the dealership was positive. Mark

Guys, thanks for the input, I am formally from Pittsburgh as I said and my brother is class of 77' from PSU. Keep the info coming, I have Jerry MacNeish onboard but without him seeing the car in person Jerry's options are limited. Without putting what I know about the car out there from what I have seen in the pictures would love input from the members here to back up what I already know. Thanks in advance. Dave

Irrespective of what people often say about how cars are assessed. This is what makes this site great.
