Nice little car /truck but I thought the L79 was rated @ 350 hp the add say 327/325 horse.
Where they a different motor in 67?

IIRC 66 had Holley carb and aluminum intake. 67 had q-jet and cast iron intake.

I am far from an expert on anything but dads 67 has an aluminum iintake and Holley carb which are both supposed to be original to the car. Unfortunately the original 327 threw a rod in the early 70's so the original block was long gone. He sold the original heads when we put the 383 in it.

Q jets are for 68...Alum intakes and holleys correct for 67...Why is everybody confused on this????

1967 Chevelle took an aluminum intake. The Nova took the cast ron intake.
