Default 1970 L78 Camaro PROJECT

This is my brother's car. After many years and many attempts to get started on this significantly-sized project, he's decided to let someone else have a go. Classic copper, black interior. Motor is out of ANOTHER 1970 L78 Camaro, ran great when removed. Car is all apart now. Muncie 4-speed (not the original trans). Does have its original 4.10 12-bolt. L78 specific TRIM TAG. Somebody used it as a drag car so the floorpan has seen its share of mega-RPM clutch dumps and tunnel-chopping for Hurst Super Shifter. Rear rails are poorly patched. 1 of only 600 so it deserves to be saved. $21,000

Nice project car. That will be a beauty when restored.

Just out of curiousity, does it have GM of Canada docs?
Did you ever run the engine's vin by GM of Canada to see if that car is locatable?

Thanks Steve. Neither this car nor the car the engine came from were Canadian-sold cars.

Started a thread at NastyZ about your car. They have some questions and it might get some interest your car.

THere was a 1970 L78 car here in Saint John. When I was a kid, the guy had fender flares put on it at a body shop across from my house. It went into a garage for years and came out rotted all to shit. I mean bad. But still had the matching numbers power train in it. A friend of mine scooped it up for $500. before I heard about it. No one knew what it was, until my friend had me check the numbers on it. I could not believe it. The car went to Ontario, probably rebodied by now. Was 4 speed car. Steel wheels with hub caps originally, I think it was brown or copper color new.
