I would love to see Chevrolet release the info on the cars like Pontiac, etc. I believe there would be quite a few people running for the exits if you know what I mean.

Too bad we'll never see it....

If only we could get the list of repro vin tags sold to Canadians. It is legal for Canadians to buy vin tags from the US trim tag mfg. if you have a title in your name; and we know how hard those Canadian titles are to get! It sure opens up the door to the air car assembly line!

Those darn Canadians......

Ryan

All the Canadian GM Assembly plants are closing up anyways. (ST Therese, Oshawa Truck, etc) Maybe the Canadian Air Car assembly plant will close up next and move to Mexico???

These made up cars have no previous ownership history - no one to document the equipment on the cars over the years. IMO - premium cars should have owners (or descendant) phone numbers. Canadian cars with no history are suspect, but when the complete list of owners is provided by the DMV up there it's pretty compelling! GM of Canada docs <span style="text-decoration: underline"> </span> with <span style="text-decoration: underline"> </span> ownership history is great.

I agree,

Canadian documentation is usually a huge plus. (but as you say, if no history goes with it where did it come from?)

Ryan

Where did US Chevrolet docs actually go? Shredder?

Having attended the Arizona auctions for 10 years its always difficult to find the actual person selling the car in order to get some info on it, yet these cars get big bucks by being sold on TV.
Every car I have ever purchased has been private and done with research back to as many owners as possible. Fotruneately its with the help of Forums such as this that suspect cars are called out.

Keep the info flowing here.

With all the advances in technology, counterfitting will only get easier to do.
