SCR16 dedicated to COPOPETE

To honor the passing of a dear friend, we have decided to dedicate Super Car Reunion 16 (SCR16) to the late Pete “COPOPETE” Simpson.

Anyone who knew Pete knows what we are talking about when we say Pete lived life to the fullest. First and foremost he was all about family and friends. Next in line was his passion for musclecars, enjoying them the way they were intended, pushing them to their limits, regardless of how rare or valuable.

It would be cool if everyone would bring a car and make a pass or two, letting it all hang out, as Pete did. Of course we realize racing it not for everyone, so if racing it not your thing, we would still love for you to bring your favorite muscle car, parking it in the SCR area for others to enjoy. Last, but certainly not least, if nothing else, please stop by the track, and/or hotel parking lot, pull up a chair, grab a cold beverage, and hang out with some of the coolest people in the world, celebrating the life of COPOPETE.

As Pete watches us from above, we would love for SCR16 to be the biggest and best ever, showing that though gone, he will never be forgotten.


SCR16 will be held the weekend of August 10th, 2013 at Gateway Motorsports Park, which is located near Madison/Collinsville, IL, just East of St. Louis.
