Deep Groove Alternator Pulley Original?

Can anyone tell me if this is an original GM deep groove pulley. I have had lots of factory high performance alternators but can remember pulling off the pulley to inspect one. Did all factory pulleys have the alignment groove?

That one looks like it may be a reproduction because of the lack of lathe tool marks on the face, and all of them did not have a groove. I do not have a good photo of an OE one with the tool marks but I can bet someone here does... [img]<<GRAEMLIN_URL>>/grin.gif[/img]

This came from an alternator shop and it looks like it was run through a tumbler or something. I just wanted to be sure it was the right design.

We had a customer back in the day that was a major rebuilder of starters, alternators, etc. One of the deep-groove alternator pulleys Chevy used was an aircraft part and could be sourced through them for about 1/3 the GM price. Parts were identical.

Also ,International tractors used the same pulley on G.M. alternators...
