Default My 74 nova.

First post here. I bought this 74 nova last year in hopes to build it the way it would have been in the 70s. Here is where I am at with it currently.

Don't pay attention to the the different plates, some of these pics were taken a few months apart.

I have a few more bits I have saved and plan to do to it this winter, so I guess this can be sort of a build thread for me.

Thanks, guys. Hopefully I'll have some good underhood pictures soon. Right now there is nothing to right home about. Boring pitted chrome no-name valve covers and a dirty gm intake. I've been hunting for a good set of gold moroso valve covers and a spreadbore offenhauser 360 intake to brighten things up a bit. i'll probably dump the edelbog carb in favor of a q-jet while i am at it.

Looks like it has AC? Have you got a picture under the hood? Passenger side showing all the AC equipment?

Thanks -- The TAZ

The ac stuff was removed before I bought it. There is a heater plate there now. The guy I bought it off of gave me the busted up AC box, but it didn't look rebuildable and there was no compressor anymore so I ended up junking the stuff. If I have the desire to go original later on, I will track down some pieces that are in better condition than mine were.

Bill -- what I am interested in is where the AC electrical/vacuum harness was run through the firewall. I have pieces/parts from a 79' (had about a 3 inch rubber plug) and want to know where the wires, etc were on your 74'.

Have you pics of the "spot" on the firewall?

Thanks

TAZ

I'll take a pic of what It looks like now when I'm in the garage later today. It was a heater cover on it now, so I'm not sure if it will help you out or not.
