Default "Van-T" vs. "byVan" Chevrolet Emblem

What is correct? I see a few cars that where purchased from Van T Chevrolet, wearing the Van Chevrolet "byVan"(Shawnee Mission, Kansas), Dealer Emblem. I know a few members have the "Van T" emblem, and say they are very difficult to find. I assume Van T and Van Chevrolet merged together at one point?

I assume placing a "byVan" (VAN Chevrolet) dealer emblem would be incorrect on a car that was purchased from Van T Chevrolet in Topeka, Kansas.

Both owned by Cecil VanTuyl, I believe. Van in Mission, Van-T in Topeka (Van-Topeka). They each had their own dealer badges.

I found recent link to many dealerships. I'm assuming it's related.

I found this today. It's missing the V and the T.

Yep, same folks, although I believe Cecil died not too long ago. I don't do much junkyard hopping anymore, but it's probably been 20 years since I've seen an intact Van-T badge in the wild. I seem to recall one popping up on ebay a year or so ago.

The Internet is a Great Place for gathering information and research

Anyone out there have a Van - T Dealer Emblem for sale for Kurt
It would be going to a good home....and be placed on his Chevelle.
I know this..... as Kurt has instructed me to properly place it on his Chevelle, once we obtain one

Thanks sYc, Thanks Tony.
