Because even if it is a real SS it's not worth anything. Not really. The new economy dictates that unless it's rare, one-of-few/one-of-one, a dealer supercar, a provable L78, etc., it's just not worth anything. Around here anyway. Throw a TD in it, do the bodywork just for something to do, then pitch it on eBay, hope it sells and move on. Like he said, it was headed to the crusher.

That's a local guy. I bought the Muncie 4 speed that came with the car when he bought it. He's a VW guy but liked the idea and the challenge of the swap. Definitely different but a stock LS swap would have given him close to the same mileage and would have been a lot more fun.
