Default 2015 MCACN Hemi Cuda and Challenger converts

This is a early call out for 2015 MCACN. The goal is to get all the Hemi Cuda and Hemi Challenger converts we can for the largest gathering of them ever. I have no idea how many have ever been in one place at the same time but with all the attention on the recent sale of one this should be a great display. If you have one you are invited. Please get ahold of Bob Ashton or me. It really is a chance to be a part of something special and the car world will appreciate the chance to see a bunch of them in one spot. We had 19 ZL1's a couple years ago, can we beat that ?

The 12 1971 E74 'Cudas - including the third French export car in a pic from the 1970s. Car no longer exists, but has been "cloned". It was also white with black billboards originally like the other white French export.

Incredibly, a whopping 5 of the 1970 Hemicuda convertible were TX9 BLACK.

Believe me...nobody will be disappointed with our HEMI Anniversary display this year. 1964-1971 is covered with the best of the best and some trul unexpected treasures.

BTW; we do have the '71 Hemi 'Cuda convertible that was recently sold by our Title Sponsor The Mecum Auction Company. It will greet you right up front.

How many 1971 Hemi Challenger convertibles are still around?

I know there is a real one here in my town. The owner (he's had it since the late 70's) says it was one of 9 built, and one of 3 still known to exist.

Easy answer. Zero. There were no 1971 hemi-equipped Challenger ragtops built by Dodge. The 426 Hemi was only available in the 1970 Challenger R/T ragtop. The reason was that there was no Challenger R/T convertible option available in 1971. You could get a big block in a base Challenger ragtop (the 383/300 horsepower engine) but you could not get an R/T ragtop, therefore no 426 Hemi in a 1971 ragtop Challenger. So, the 9 number was the total 1970 models for US production and 3 more for export.

So your buddy's car must be a 1970 if it is a real car. Got any photos?
