Default Dealership Records

Hello,

I'm a new member to the board. I just purchased my first hotrod! (Thanks Stefano) Would like to see if I can find out the original dealership that sold the car. Does anyone know if GM has records of this?

Jason

Thanks Pete.

The car started life as a Z/28. Original 302 and tranny are long gone. It does have the original 12 bolt and 3:73 gears. It currenly has a 434 stroker with a M-22 gear set up. (Tranny not stamped as an M-22). Has a Hotchkis TVS suspension set up. Original console car with the 6000 RPM Redline tach. Nickey was kind enough to put in on the dyno for me. It's making 450 HP at the rear wheels. Should be enough to get me to the local cruise in's!! More pics to come.

Elon,

Thanks! Were you at SLS 6 this year?

I was there on Friday. Except for a small amount of time meeting some people outside, we spent the whole day at SLS. It was a blast. Great people, great cars, great weather. It doesn't get any better than that!

Thanks for the tip Pete.

They had the records for my car. Produced on 01/098/68. Sold at Hult Chevrolet in Madison, WI.

Also means the car should not have the Z/28 emblem. Should have the 302 badging being an early Jan. production. Guess it really doesn't matter since the 302 is long gone! Still good info to have.

Jason,
Welcome to the site. You'll like it here. Nice car and I am sure with that motor it will get you anywhere you want to go. Chime in often. There is a great group of people here.

Thanks Dave. I would have to agree.

I met a few people from the board at the Solid Lifter Showroom this year. The car is a lot of fun. Going to my first cruise in this Friday.
