Rick, from what I've read on Facebook.....he had his lap belt on but slipped through it. But I don't know that for sure.

If the lap belt story is true, he's not too smart cause that car looked to be really fast and a lap belt wasn't sufficient.

Now, I race with only a lap belt but my car's a slug compared to that '55.

He mentions he was wearing just a lap belt,and that it wasn't even anchored right & broke off.
The worst part is this was his wifes car,which means he'll never hear the end of it.

This video doesn't show the whole race. The Camaro almost comes into his lane twice. The last time the 55 over corrects and you see the end result.

Sure it does.At the :35 mark is where the whole race begins.
Agree,the camaro was the car I first thought this video was going to be about.
