Default EZ Nova's '69

Well the car started as an original '69 396/350 Hp 4sp car, 4:10's red with black bench seat car. When I bought the car, it was more Maroon then red, truck Cragars on it, we "thought"? it was a 427 as I knew the past 4 owners and the oldst owner said he PAID for the 427/425Hp motor to be built? So when I got it, the car was SLOW. So with the help of a friend, we went and fixed some major issues we had. This car USED to be the fastest car in town. Faster then a 4545 Vette w/nitrous, and watched the owner beat a 340 Arrow with nitrous. Only thing over the years was the 4.88's were removed for 3.55, then and current 4.56's. Once we played with it, the perforamce came back, strong.
After a year, we decided to build this 427. Well low and behold, it was a 402??? So we did it up to L78 spec short, solid roller, and ported 840 heads with the strip dom intake. This resulted in a 10.47 time slip.

Now I'm in the middle of putting in a ZL-1 motor with some work for some races we have coming here in Canada.

Here is the start of the ZL-1

Casting #

This was in a grudge car for some years.

Reworked 074's

Will also be doing a 198 intake for more the stock look.

I know the stripes are NOT 100% correct, but it's what I had to work with. I'm also not worried about the additions as the original motor and trans were long gone before I got the car.

I'm also working on another motor for this car, a ZLX version for the tunnel ram, since I have everything ready to go but the heads. Want to see where I can push the ZLX style motor to Hp wise. I'm think maybe 900.

Changing the hood too. I bought and original A&A Fibreglass "Grump Lump" for it. Just not sure if I want a 'glass or steel hood. I'm thinking steel????

Ain't no fun in viewing your car as an 'investment'. Get out there and beat on it!

Thanks, and being a '69 and a ZL-1, with consideration that with the power that this motor will produce, I'm putting a Doug Nash 4+1 being this thing.
